In an interesting and informative style Ron Moon guides the viewer through a range of topics including the types of 4WD systems and the use of free wheeling hubs, transfer boxes, etc.

Basic driving skills and the more advanced skills for descending and ascending steep hills, crossing rivers, driving in the snow, through mud or along deep ruts are covered in this video. Sand driving, whether on the beach, on tall steep dunes or deep in the desert country along with the tricky and rather unnatural ‘key’ or Hill Starts are included in an easy to follow style.

When to use diff locks, driving lights and night driving techniques, along with towing tips and setting up to head Outback are also covered. Other subjects included in this comprehensive video are basic recovery gear and its use, snatch strap recovery and the techniques for safe and effective winching.
