Flinders Ranges - SA
The Flinders Ranges of South Australia epitomises the beauty and sheer grandeur of ouback Australia, These quintessent, desert washed mountains offer the adventurous traveller a vast array of experiences, with unforgettable 2WD and 4WD touring, camping, walking or cycling.
At the moment the Flinders is a kalidescope of color, with many wildflowers in bloom, including Salvation Jane and Wild Hop which create a tapestry of red and purple across the landscape. In the Southern and Central Flinders much of the countryside is also looking like a park land with a carpet of green, having received some very welcome rain over the last few months.
For four wheel drivers there are a heap of 4WD tracks, both PARs (Public Access Routes) and self-drive tracks on private properties that can keep you touring the region for a week or two
